Second Hand Expanded Polystyrene - Machinery


All machines are designed to cut only expanded Polystyrene and some extruded Polystyrene.

We no longer manufacture machines but have these two second hand units in stock.

They are 12 years old but are virtually like new as they have rarely been used.

PE62 Computer Controlled Profiler (Contour Cutter)

 

A two axis CAD/CAM profiling machine designed to cut shapes out of 2.5m x 1.25m x 0.7m EPS block.
This machine can be programmed to cut any profile shape like circles, letters, channels etc
Machine cuts in X and Y direction. The billet is placed on a stationary bed with wires stretchd across a multiwire frame.
The machine is controlled via a full computer control with circular and linear interpolation producing perfect circles, radiuses, diagonal and straight cuts with an accuracy of ± 0.1 mm.
Programming via a computer using universal G and M codes with preview view technique on Screen before actual cutting.
Machine has a free standing control panel with on/off switch, hot wire on/off and temperature control.Keyboard provides control of Jogging axes in X and Y direction, speed control, datum, run , etc.

PE10 Slicer/Dicer

This model auto slices and dices 2440 x 1220 x 650 mm blocks into sheets and cut pieces. Wires are set in 1mm pitch studding. Capable of heating up to 52 (0.5mm diameter) wires in the (X) axis and 28 in the (Y) axis. The slicing frame can be quickly and easily changed for optional frames to save setting time.

Horizontal movement controlled by DC motor with electronic variable speed control, moving on precision ground slides and positioned via toothed belt for smooth cutting. Positioning controlled by low maintenance 6 point Nylatron bearing running on steel guides.
